Black Sea Career Fair has Started
Presidential auspices of the Republic of Turkey, Black Sea Career Fair has started in Black Sea Technical University. Rector of our university Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç participated in the opening of the career fair, where Ordu University is one of the partner universities.
In addition to providing employment and internship opportunities for university graduates and students, more than 11 thousand students enrolled in the Black Sea Career Fair, which aims to enable managers to communicate with young talents and share their experiences. Moreover, there were 150 institutions and firms from the public and private sectors. Staff and students from our university also took part in the career fair where the students would have the opportunity to meet with the company officials and get information on career and employment issues.
Rector Prof. Dr. Yarılgaç said that such activities, which serve as a guide for shaping the careers of university students, have an important mission both in the decision-making process of young people and in understanding that career is a matter of planning and strategy rather than random selection. Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç also said that Career is a decision-making process that determines the strategic steps for the future where there are intensive research and goal setting phases. Therefore, it is essential that young people get support from specialized and competent bodies at this point and shape their future within the framework of this support. At this point, I believe that the Black Sea Career Fair, in which our university is one of the stakeholder universities, will help all students in our region to assist their students in their career journey by mobilizing decision-making mechanisms. I would like to express my gratitude to the President of the Republic of Turkey for their support and to the Black Sea Technical University fort he organization.
