Turkish Employment Agency on Campus  organized by Ordu Governorship, Ordu Labor and Employment Agency Provincial Directorate and University, was held with the participation of Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Family, Labor and Social Services Minister.

Organized in the Conference Hall of the Morphology building, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Governor of Ordu Seddar Yavuz, AK Party Ordu Parliamentarian Dr. Şenel Yediyıldız, Metin Gündoğdu, Ergün Taşçı, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Engin Tekintaş, Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç, General Manager of Turkish Employment Agency Cafer Uzunkaya, former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hilmi Güler, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Fikri Balta and Prof. Dr. Tevfik Noyan, General Secretary M. Kenan Şahin, Faculty Deans, representatives of public institutions and organizations, academic and administrative staff and students attended the event.

The opening speech of the program started with Turkish Employment Agency’s introductory film was given by Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç, Yarılgaç says ‘’Ordu University continues its development to be the leaders, managers and employees based on the academic activities and the career activities of student clubs and the mind and heart of our young people. Carrying out career organizations, bringing the stakeholders of the field of application together with the field of application, carrying the fields of application to their campuses or ensuring that the youth go down to the field makes an effective training process. Considering the fact that experimenting with research and application laboratories and error is in fact a vital source of motivation, Ordu University, which carries social conscience to the volunteers with the methods of education carried out in the fields of environment, health, social sharing and citizen consciousness, is not only business oriented, It is located. In the light of these values and criteria, the demands of the young people who are planning their career will be combined with Turkish Employment Agency’s vision of qualified employment and strong future. Therefore, this study carried out by Turkish Employment Agency in career, employment, work and working life points is very important. It will be very useful for our youth to listen to the speeches in these meetings, to ask if they have any questions, to check their future plans in the light of what is explained here and in the perspective of national development. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services, Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, who is a pioneer in the realization of the event and honored us with his contributions to our university, and to all of our stakeholders who contributed to this beneficial work. I hope that the Turkish Employment Agency on Campus event, organized for the purpose of achieving strong future and qualified employment, will be beneficial and prosperous.’’

General Manager of Turkish Employment Agency, Cafer Uzunkaya, provided information on the employment that Turkish Employment Agency carried out over the years. He says ‘‘in 2002, there was no issue for the employment of universities in Turkish Employment Agency 's agenda, but we employed the employment of 210 thousand 359 university students in 2018 in the employment of the universities that we expressed in thousands.’’ Talking about the university employment between 2007-2017, Uzunkaya says ‘’young employment is the most important issue in the world. You cannot show another European country with over 4 million young people. The workforce participation rate of our university graduates is 80%. I would like to see the program Turkish Employment Agency on campus which will be more prominent in universities.’’

Ordu Governor Seddar Yavuz, "a giant of the Republic of Turkey has experienced a great change and transformation. We see an example of this change and transformation today. One of the most important indicators of this change and transformation is the fact that Turkish Employment Agency is at our university in terms of meeting with our valued university students in the support and patronage of our Minister. We are talking about a state where all the doors are opened to the public. I would like to thank Mr. Minister on this occasion. ‘’

Minister Selçuk: ''We are aiming to direct young people with Turkish Employment Agency on campus activities and to support them in every step of their life.''

Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Minister of Labor and Social Services, Family, Labor and Social Services said in her speech: ‘’We want to show you a little bit of road and direction when we are shaping the future with our project on Turkish Employment Agency on Campus. We know that the most basic way of progress and development of our country is education. Our country will develop depending on whether you are able to work in more capable, more competent and more productive jobs and as more merit people. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we have always believed and believing in the potential of brave young people who have the values, the flag and the freedom. We know that a youth who grows up with values, science and science will carry us to a better future. While we are producing our youth programs, we want to create them by not just at the desk, but by landing and listening to you. One of the issues our ministry focuses on is the employment of young people as is known. Employment is important in every sense, but we especially care about the employment of young people. With the activity on the campus, we aim to provide support and information activities in the transition from education to business life in 81 provinces. We aim to direct you young people to the target in order to achieve success in this field and to support them in every step you take. I am in a great happiness of realizing this activity in Ordu today’’.

Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees Member Ömer Yücel met with students in the afternoon program. In the continuation of the program, presentation was made about job search skills and corporate presentation.
