ODU Proceeds Step by Step to Coding Training
The University of Ordu is on the way to improve coding training. A meeting dealing with the studies of coding training has been held by the Faculty of Education and The Rector, prof Dr Tarık Yarılgaç has been informed on the issue.
Through STEM which aims at improving students' attitudes in a positive way intended for science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines is targeted to increase the students' success in that field and to train the individuals equipped.
On the training and necessity of STEM which focuses on problem solving supporting creativeness owned at early ages by emerging from curiosity sense, a meeting has been held to set up a STEM centre and do a variety of researches about coding and robotics applications in the responsibility of the Faculty of Education.
At the meeting held within this context Associate Deans of the Faculty of Education, Dr Şenol Sezer, Dr Nalan Arabacı and some other lecturers made a presentation about STEM and coding training to the Rector, Prof Dr Tarık Yarılgaç.
At the end of the meeting it was stated that during the process from preschool period to post graduate level to be put into action at the Faculty of Education the studies aiming at improving STEM and coding training are intended to be launched.
On the subject the Rector, Prof Dr Tarık Yarılgaç said '' The individuals who are capable of criticizing, problem-solving, setting up communicative skills are needed. In this sense, through STEM and coding training we intend to put into action aim at contributing especially economic development of the country and bringing up productive individuals.
The Rector also added '' in order to go further we should follow comtemporary educational applications and innovative educational approaches. In this respect, with the project studies to be held at the University of Ordu, we will continue to increase the awareness of the students and train entrepreneurial, innovative and having advanced dream power and productive generations. ''
The Rector, Prof Dr Tarık Yarılgaç ended his speech saying that the project which we will launch in the organization of the Faculty of Education is supposed to provide a huge contribution to firstly the Ordu province then , the region and the country.
