ODU Increases its Postgraduate Education Capacity Each Semester

Our university, which increases its academic achievement graph every year, continues to play a pioneering role in raising qualified individuals who can produce innovative ideas in their fields and think analytically with its graduate programs. In this context, 2,263 people applied to the postgraduate quotas opened in the Fall Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year of our University, which offers postgraduate education within the Institutes of Social Sciences, Science and Health Sciences.

In the Institute of Social Sciences, which increased the number of graduate programs from 16 last year to 30 this year, a total of 1,513 candidates applied to the quotas announced in the fields of Business, English Language and Literature, Philosophy and Religious Studies, Art History and Sociology, History, Music, Turkish and Social Sciences Education, Turkish Education, Social Sciences Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Primary School Teaching, Basic Islamic Sciences, Turkish Language and Literature, Cinema and Television, Graphics, Economics, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations. 479 candidates obtained the right to enroll in relevant programs.

In the Institute of Science, which increased the number of programs to 15 with 2 new programs opened this year, 339 candidates applied to the quotas announced in the fields of Technology, Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, Horticulture, Fisheries Technology Engineering, Plant Protection, Food Engineering, Primary Science Education, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Field Crops, Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Renewable Energy, Landscape Architecture and Marine Transportation Engineering. 217 candidates were entitled to enroll in relevant programs.
In the Institute of Health Sciences, 411 people applied to the quotas announced for Nursing, Medical Biochemistry, Physical Education and Sports, Health Management and Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing. 55 candidates were entitled to enroll in relevant programs. 

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan stated about the issue, “Our institutes are important science centers where academic studies are carried out, future scientists and academicians are trained, and thus contribute greatly to increasing the international recognition of countries. As Ordu University, we make maximum effort to serve science with scientific studies to be carried out in our institutes, to increase the graduate education capacity and to train qualified researchers. In this context, while continuing our studies to achieve our goal with newly opened programs, we continue to provide all kinds of support to our students participating in master's and doctoral programs in the departments of our institutes.”
