Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan's Message on "July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day"
On July 15, 2016, a treacherous coup attempt was carried out against the nation, the assembly of the nation, the government and the Turkish Armed Forces, and this initiative was eliminated in a short time with the courage and foresight of our nation and our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Our saint nation has demonstrated the fact that no focus of evil can survive in Malazgirt, Çanakkale, the War of Independence, on the night of July 15, with the same determination.
Four years ago, today, our nation, whose body fell into tanks, bombs and bullets at the expense of women, men, young and old; He announced his commitment to his country, state, democracy and freedom to the whole world. This will, put forward by our nation and our state in democracy watches that took place after July 15, is a historical challenge against those who want to plunge our country into darkness. The Republic of Turkey evermore powerful, dynamic, progressive way of science and will continue to exist as a country that has influence in the world. I am confident that we will overcome the obstacles that we face in this way with a sense of national unity and solidarity.
In this context, our duty as educational institutions is to continue to raise stronger young generations depending on their homeland, flag, national and spiritual values ??in the light of mind, science, morality and conscience. With these feelings and thoughts, on the fourth anniversary of the 15th of July Democracy and National Unity Day, our democracy commemorates our saint martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for our homeland, independence, national unity and integrity; I express my gratitude to our veterans.
