Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan's "December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities" Message

December 3 was accepted as the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities" by the United Nations in order to integrate our disabled people into society, to enjoy their human rights fully and equally and to improve their living standards.
Since the opportunities and facilities provided to persons with disabilities in social life are the most prominent reflection of the value and importance given to people regarding the development level of a society; we have to facilitate the participation of our disabled citizens in social life, remove all the obstacles they may encounter, and support them to the maximum in terms of living a quality life.
As Ordu University, we continue our efforts devotedly to create education, research and accommodation environments suitable for our disabled students by organizing educational programs in a way that will facilitate their academic and social lives. In the following periods, we are always ready to remove obstacles as much as we can to improve the quality of life of our disabled students studying at our university and to prevent them from suffering in any way.
With these feelings and thoughts, I wish a world where we have no obstacles to love, conscience and compassion, and I congratulate all of our special individuals on December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and wish them a healthy and happy life with their families.
