Rector Akdoğan Attended the Opening Ceremony of the Presidential National Library

Rector of Our University Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan attended the Presidential National Library Opening Ceremony, which was opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In his speech at the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “Our National Library will serve as a full complex. We envisioned this place not only as a place where bookshelves are lined, but also as a science center and a cultural center that brings together scholars. We have built it as a place where works will be carried out around the book culture and gathering the scientific assemblies”.

Explaining that the library was enriched by the flow of books in 134 different languages ??from abroad and abroad, and attained 4 million printed works from many different disciplines, President Erdoğan said, “Besides, it reached a really important level with 120,000 articles and reports as well as 550 thousand e-books. Hopefully, we will expand this book mobilization even more, and we will reach a volume exceeding 5 million as soon as possible”.

President Erdoğan said; He invited his scholars, intellectuals, and art people to donate to the National Library to keep their works and names alive. President Erdoğan said, “We are building bridges dating back to history with this library and building crossroads between geographies. We want our young people, our researchers to walk around the shelves with millions of books”. He spoke in the form.
