Graduation Exhibition of Sculpture Department was held at Ordu university
Graduation Exhibition of students of Sculpture Department of Fine Arts Faculty was held at Ordu university. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held at the Morphology Building. Rector Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tevfik Noyan, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Zekai Tarakçı, Black Sea Journalists Federation and Ordu 19 Eylül Journalists Association President Erdoğan Erişen, academic and administrative staff, students and guests attended.
In addition to traditional sculpture materials and techniques, 42 works made from contemporary materials took part in the exhibition, and the sculptures of the students of the department of sculpture were conveyed their designs and technical skills.
Rector Prof.Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç said, Our Faculty of Fine Arts, which continues its education with four active departments, plays a leading role in the field of art education with its rapid development among the faculties of fine arts opened in the region. The Sculpture Department, which was opened within the faculty of our faculty, is one of the 16 sculpture departments that provide active education in state and foundation universities, as well as the first sculpture department opened in the Black Sea Region. The fact that one of the rare sculpture departments in the country was opened in our university is the best example of our university's aim to have a say in the field of science and art education. Our four young sculptor candidates who will graduate from Ordu University Sculpture Department will meet with art lovers with a graduation exhibition consisting of 42 works. I would like to congratulate the young people who presented their works to our appreciation for their work and I wish our young people success in their professional life with the belief that they will represent Ordu University in the best way. ”
