Rector of our university Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç and Rector of Ondokuz Mayıs University Prof. Dr. Sait Bilgiç signed a cooperation protocol on transferring the knowledge and experience of OMU to Ordu University.
The cooperation protocol aiming at carrying out joint research and development (R & D) activities and conducting information-technology transfer activities are also aimed at ensuring dialogue and trust between our University and OMÜ Technology Transfer Office, and obtaining quality and efficiency-enhancing results in new technology and process development stages.
Protocol covering the organization of activities for the promotion of R & D culture in academics, students and business world; It includes many activities that will contribute to the region and the country's economy, such as the use of national and international grant-fund support programs, cooperation between academicians within OMU and ODU, strengthening university-industry cooperation, and arrangements to regulate project markets for commercialization.
Rector of our university Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç made evaluations on the subject. “In today's world, the basis of the development of countries is the transfer of the information produced in academia to technology and production and transferring it to the economy. In this context, it is seen that the countries that allocate resources to science, technology, R & D and innovation are more advanced than other countries in terms of providing social and economic prosperity. However, today's global competition forces businesses to move to innovative products and production methods in the light of new information. At this point, it is of great importance that the industrial sector, which is the source of information and which will produce innovative products with the guidance of the public, will come together. I hope that this study will be beneficial for our region and institutions.”
