Rector Akdoğan Delivered Online Seminar on “Social Problems and Moral Relationship”
In addition to education, Ordu University continues its cultural activities through remote access, contributing to students feeling at home during this difficult time they stay at home. In this context, the seminar titled “Social Problems and Moral Relationship” was held by Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan for 3rd and 4th graders of Faculty of Theology via remote access.
At the seminar held in digital environment, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan informed the students about many social problems and morals such as migration, distorted urbanization, environmental pollution, unemployment, poverty, educational problems, epidemics, consumption madness and violence. Expressing that man is a smart entity, Rector Akdoğan stated that the person carrying the mind is also the moral person. Underlining that the spiritual depth leads to moral beauty, Rector Akdoğan said, “Living according to moral values ??is an important need for people and society. As long as humanity exists, moral values ??will always be needed. In this context, the verses in the Holy Book of the Quran have a meaning for the benefit of the people and moral values ??are brought to the fore. However, he stated that our Prophet is an example of good morality and states the importance of good morality with the hadith of 'on the Day of Judgment, there is nothing that outweighs the good moral in the believer's trial.'
