Regional Rectors came together in our University
The rectors of the universities of Eastern Black Sea Region came together at the meeting held in our university.
Rector of Artvin Çoruh University in Eastern Black Sea Region Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Tilki, Rector of Avrasya University Prof. Dr. Kenan İnan, Rector of Giresun University Prof. Dr. Cevdet Coşkun, Rector of Gümüşhane University Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Zeybek, Rector of Karadeniz Technical University Prof. Dr. Süleyman Baykal, Rector of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman and Rector of Trabzon University Prof. Dr. Rector of Emin Aşıkkutlu University were hosted by our university. They were the guests of our university’s rector Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç.
In the meeting where the rectors of the universities of the Eastern Black Sea Region came together with certain periods, ideas were exchanged for the collaborations that could be made in the fields of city, region and university, scientific activities and research and development. The aim of the meeting is to increase the cooperation among the universities of the region, and to work together in the social and scientific fields of the universities which are growing and developing rapidly. There were many topics such as planning, application areas and common use criteria of laboratories, strategic planning and quality board studies.
Our university’s rector Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç stressed the importance of coming together of the universities in Eastern Black Sea Region in order to talk about the development of institutional motivations in scientific, social and cultural dimensions. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç said that We as the rectors of the universities of the Eastern Black Sea Region, have come together at certain time intervals and evaluated the issues within the framework of inter-institutional cooperation. These evaluations contribute to the communication of various projects in order to respond to the social needs of our students and academic and administrative staff as well as exchange of ideas on physical and scientific infrastructure works. In addition, these meetings are important in terms of providing important opportunities to the cities and geography where we are located as regional universities, making the vision of science dynamic and maintaining the continuity of information transfer about research and development activities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our rectors who have honored us by coming to our university.
