The conference started with the small concert of students of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts and the opening speech of Secretary General of the Chamber of Medical Doctors Ebru Kamber. She said that “Medicine is a continuous education, it takes a lot of labor. Being a good physician is not enough to be qualified and having a good heart. Because non-scientific benevolence is dangerous. The most important task of us as physicians is to offer our patients the most ideal care they deserve, and to do the best in their favor. On the occasion of the importance of this day, it is the duty of the physicians to identify, convey, place and try to find solutions for all our valued guests. No matter what the condition is, as in the past, no doubt that we will do our best for our country and our public health today. 100 years ago, when Istanbul was under British occupation, our medical elders showed their reactions by celebrating the March 14 Medical Day.

Vice-rector of the University and Dean of Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Tevfik Noyan celebrated 14 March Medical Day and gave information about the structuring of the Faculty of Medicine. He said that “ Our faculty currently include 10 foreign international students, 212 girls, 210 boys and totally 422 physician candidates. Our Faculty, which started medical education in 2011, still has 65 medical doctors and has added to the service of the health army. In our faculty, there are 24 medical specialty research assistants in various branches. A total of 61 faculty members are working in our faculty, including 6 professors, 18 associate professors and 37 faculty members. I greet everyone who contributed to the establishment and development of our faculty in the process from the foundation stage up to the present day with gratitude and gratitude by presenting my respects. My dear student brothers, all of our faculty members take great care to get you trained with the latest knowledge and clinical skills. In addition, you carry out awareness-raising activities for the people of Ordu with your social responsibility activities. Deontology teacher Nurican Efendi from Mekteb-i Tıbbiye-i Şahane said in 1877 that a physician should protect people's lives to guide people in all ages and to treat their diseases. Physician must be the locomotive, moralist, consultant, thinker, judge, humanist, in short, everything. Physicians are the people that their patients have delivered their lives I would like to thank all our guests, especially the Governor and the Rector for joining our ceremony with us. I hope, the next 14 March ceremonies will be the days when fewer problems are discussed. "

Deputy Governor of Ordu province Ekrem Balli said that "In addition to the important medical studies carried out during the Ottoman period, the great founder of our Republic Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said that you should entrust me to Turkish doctors. Ordu University Medical Faculty, which educates physicians, makes us proud with its modern space and scientific developments."
