Newroz Festival Program was organized with the contribution of Health, Culture and Sports Department.

Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Fikri Balta and Prof. Dr. Tevfik Noyan, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Tahsin Tonkaz, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof. Dr. Prof. Öznur Ergen Akçin, Director of Technical Sciences Vocational School Prof. Dr. Kürşat Korkmaz, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kenan Sahin, academic and administrative staff, students and guests attended to the festival.

Abdulahad Sarwari, a student at the Faculty of Medicine who made the opening speech of the program, said, ''Anatolia and Central Asia are covered. Nevruz is also the arrival of spring and the awakening of spring. Newroz, a legacy inherited from our great scholars, is a sacrifice to protect because culture is the only value that makes us what we are, and Newrozz is the culture of all of us.''

Rector of our university, Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç said, ''Newroz is one of our values that has been lived in a wide geography from Central Asia to Balkans for centuries. It is the name of a festival that gives birth to love and respect, as well as being the symbol of the arrival of spring, abundance and fertility. Newroz, which has been celebrated for thousands of years by the peoples and whose universal relationship between man and nature turns into festivals, also acts as a cultural bridge between the past and the future. Believing that our traditions and traditions should be continued and passed on to future generations, I celebrate Newroz Feast and hope that peace and peace will dominate new beginnings. 

The ceremony ended after Rector Yarılgaç started the Newroz fire, the program continued with folk dances and various competitions, and cooked rice was served to the guests.
