History
The Faculty of Dentistry, which was founded on March 3, 2009 according to the proper regulations and the law no. 2809 of the Ministry of National Education, started to provide education for twenty-two students in the fall term of 2011-2012 after the academic and administrative labor was done.
Our faculty, with two professors, one associate professor, eight assistant professors and four research assistants, provides health service in eight major departments such as Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology; Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery; Orthodontics; Prosthetic Dentistry; Periodontology; Endodontics; Restorative Dentistry; and Pediatric Dentistry.
Vision
The vision of The Faculty of Dentistry is to become compatible, universally successful, and ideal to the realities of Turkey in terms of scientific research, education and examining the patients without making concessions from the principles of Atatürk.
Appearing among the prestigious universities of Turkey and of the world raising our efficiency in the scientific studies;
Being able to give the education that will raise competent dentists with ethical values;
Reaching a successful level in postgraduate education under the universal standards;
Treating the patients with a holistic approach according to up-to-date information and to the principle ‘not to hurt’;
Being a respectful faculty to the past with its garden and its building;
Form the basis of our vision.
Mission
Our mission is:
To raise citizens who are committed to the principles of Ataturk and will be able to work at all kinds of institutions with self-confidence besides his/her creative, artistic, and cultural knowledge bringing his/her own awareness of science to the field;
To serve humanity by producing information and contributing into the production of science and technology;
Without discriminating against anybody, to be able to provide health service for the patients;
To help permanently establish culture and art in our society under the light of science.
