Answering questions about the pandemic process of Ordu University, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said, “As Ordu University, we continue to carry out the education and training process smoothly through distance education and digital education opportunities during the pandemic period in order to ensure that education processes are carried out as smoothly as possible without interruption and our students do not experience victimization. Last year, we ranked 8th among universities that carried out the distance education process most effectively and efficiently. "

Rector Akdoğan, who made a statement about the City Hospital, which was started to be built in Cumhuriyet Campus, said, “As Ordu University, we allocated an additional area of ??208 decares at the beginning and then an additional 42 decares for the land of the City Hospital, which was started to be built by our Ministry of Health. In our city hospital, both the doctors of the Ministry of Health and the doctors of our University will work together. In addition, a Morphology building with classrooms, laboratories and study rooms will be built next to the hospital for faculty members and students of the Faculty of Medicine. In addition, the construction works of the ring road, city center and university connection roads needed for transportation to the hospital are continuing. As Ordu University, we wanted to reduce the dependence on neighboring provinces by making all medical treatments of a sick citizen in Ordu, and I believe that this addiction will decrease significantly with the construction of a city hospital. I would like to thank our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, our Ministry of Health and everyone who contributed to bring our city hospital to our city. " 

Rector Akdoğan, who talked about the studies carried out in the field of health within the university, said, “We have opened the Disabled and Dental Tomography Units in our Faculty of Dentistry in recent months. The Day Clinic and Disabled Unit, which we have put into service, will be able to treat patients with fear of dental treatment and jaw surgeries that require general anesthesia, primarily dental treatment of disabled individuals from Ordu and neighboring provinces. We also recently opened the Education Family Health Center. Education Family Health Center will also provide health services to our students, academic and administrative staff and citizens living in close proximity to our campus. In addition, we open an operating room and an intensive care unit in our Training and Research Hospital where severe cardiac surgeries can be performed. With the Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit construction contract signed with the Governorship of Ordu, our citizens from Ordu will be able to receive this health service in their own province and severe heart surgeries can be performed in our city. In the field of health, our primary goal is that no patients experience victimization. 

Rector Akdoğan stated that the studies for the Faculty of Tourism to start its educational activities are continuing rapidly and stated that the foundation of the Faculty of Theology is planned to be laid within this year and that the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering and the Department of Oral and Dental Technician are planned to be opened.

Rector Akdoğan, who talked about the scientific activities and agricultural activities carried out at Ordu University, said, “To increase the research and development opportunities of Ordu University, to gain competence in science and technology, and to carry out the task of increasing the scientific productivity of our country at national and international level by continuing to work towards transforming this competence into economic and social benefit. aims. Rector Akdoğan stated that the research of hazelnut, which has become the symbol of the region, in all its stages from production to export, and that quality scientific studies are carried out on kiwi and black nuts, especially hazelnuts, at Ordu University, and the cultivation of other agricultural products that are suitable for the region's ecology and have higher economic value He underlined that studies on the improvement and processing of diseases and pests are carried out at national and international levels.
