The contract for the construction of the Cardiovascular Surgery (KVC) Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit to be made within the body of the SB-Ordu University Training and Research Hospital.  It was signed with Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan by the contractor firm.

Governor Tuncay Sonel and Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Niyazi Taşçı, Provincial Health Director Dr. Mustafa Kasapoğlu, Head of Cardiovascular Surgery Department. Assoc. Dr. Kaptanıderya Tayfur and contractor company representative Ahmet Alp Doğru took place.

Governor Tuncay Sonel stated that with the completion of the 3rd Stage Cardiovascular Surgery (KVC) Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit, which will be built with the contribution of Ordu University Education, Culture and Health Services Foundation and philanthropic business people, an important health service will be performed in Ordu. We strive together to make the life of the people easier in terms of health. As you know, the importance of the Cardio Vascular Surgery (KVC) Intensive Care Unit is the uninterrupted follow-up and support of the vital functions of patients who have undergone or will undergo cardiovascular surgery. For this reason, our countrymen will not have to go to other provinces for severe heart surgeries. We have valuable heart teachers in our Education and Research Hospital. Our citizens of the army will have the chance to have the heaviest heart surgeries in our city, with the Cardio Vascular Surgery (KVC) Operating Room and the Intensive Care Unit coming into service as soon as possible. 

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said, “We, as Ordu University, wish all medical treatments of a sick citizen to be made in Ordu to reduce the dependence on neighboring provinces, and our countrymen will be able to receive this health service in their own provinces and severe heart surgeries can be performed in our city. It is our primary goal that none of our patients experience victimization in the field of health. In this context, we act in cooperation with other stakeholders of our city, especially with our Ordu Governorship, to solve the problems of our city in unity and solidarity. "

Provincial Health Director Dr. Mustafa Kasapoğlu stated that there is no 3rd Level Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room in the Training and Research Hospital and said, “We did not have any deficiencies, but we had physical inadequacies in terms of space. We will eliminate this deficiency in terms of Cardiovascular Surgery. A human survival is much more valuable to us. I would like to thank our Governor and everyone who contributed to bring such a service to Ordu. 

After the signing ceremony, Rector Akdoğan made examinations at the SB-Ordu University Training and Research Hospital, where the Cardiovascular Surgery (KVC) Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit will be held.
