Faculty of Dentistry Prosthesis Laboratory will Start to Provide Service
Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan made examinations at the Dentistry Faculty Prosthesis Laboratory, which will soon be put into service.
During the examinations, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan received information from Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Varol Çanakçı about the studies carried out in the laboratory. Rector Akdoğan was informed that there are Cad / Cam where ceramic restorations can be made and Laser Sinter devices where metal-ceramic restorations can be made in the laboratory, there are also suitable devices for the construction of removable prostheses and that patients can be treated without the need for any external laboratory.
After his examinations, Rector Akdoğan said, “Our Faculty of Dentistry, with the aim of creating a value for the people living in its region, meets an important health need of our province and region with the numerous treatments and surgical procedures it performs while continuing its health services. In addition, our University is located in the top 5 Faculty of Dentistry in need of dental treatment need dental faculties in Turkey both in physical infrastructure and equipment to train students academic point. As Ordu University, we strive to do our best to provide the technical equipment necessary for our Faculty of Dentistry to provide better service, as in our other units. In this context, we have further strengthened the technical infrastructure of our Faculty by purchasing our devices such as Cad / Cam and Laser Sinter, which are required for our Faculty's Dental Prosthesis Laboratory, and studies are continuing to open our laboratory into service as soon as possible. In addition, it is planned to implement the emergency department, where 24/7 service will be provided, by the end of the year at the point of treatment of emergency patients in our Faculty.
