Dursun Duyar, Deputy Director General of Health Investments, Ministry of Health, visited Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan to make a situation assessment on the 300-decare area of our university. Within the scope of the visit, the studies were carried out on the hospital land, the project studies continuing and the tender will be made following the termination of the project.
During the examinations, Ordu Provincial Health Director Dr. Mustafa Kasapoğlu and university delegation accompanied Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan and Dursun Duyar, Deputy Director General of Health Investments of the Ministry of Health.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan stated, “As Ordu University, we want all the medical treatments of a sick citizen to be done in Ordu and decrease the dependence on the surrounding provinces. It is a common consideration for everyone to have a hospital equipped with more modern, advanced technologies and sufficient number of physicians to solve the health problems of the people of Ordu. I have already stated that 300 acres of land belonging to our University is available as a second alternative if needed. Today, as part of the works carried out by the Ministry of Health, General Directorate of Healthcare Investment Services, we have made some inspections on the area to be allocated for the hospital and exchanged ideas about the suitability of the land and the current situation.”
