International Cooperation for Maritime Department from ODU

Two protocols were signed between our university and Varna Technical University and the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy under Erasmus + program for student and staff mobility.

In the content of the collaborations carried out to increase the international recognition of Ordu University, Rector Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç visited Varna Technical University and Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy. During his visit rector Prof. Dr. Yarılgaç was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Çiftçi director of Fatsa Vocational School and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mediha Mehmed Hamza from Department of Electrical Engineering in Technical University of Varna.

Following the meetings between Rector Prof. Dr. Yarılgaç and Erasmus Coordinator Sergey Dimitrov, the protocol was signed for the mobility of students and staff in the fields of marine engineering, motor vehicles, ship architecture, marine technologies, maritime transport and operation engineering between Varna Technical University and our university. The agreement will be valid until 2021.

Afterwards, they visited Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, the oldest school in Bulgaria and a member of the International Union of Maritime Universities (IAMU). An agreement was signed in the meeting that was done between Rector Prof. Dr. Yarilgac and Prof. Boyan Medikarov Rector of Naval Academy of Nikola Vaptsarov and Dimiter Illeieff, who is in charge of international relations in the fields of maritime transport management engineering, maritime business management and logistics.

During the visit, the rector Yarılgaç met with the Turkish students who were educated in the fields of application and laboratories of the Naval Military Academy and studied in the field of Marine Transportation and Management Engineering at Varna Technical University.

Rector of Ordu University Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç said “Our university has been increasing its recognition in the international arena with its strategic relations and agreements established in a universal framework. During our visit to Varna, we also discussed the educational, educational and scientific activities of Ordu University in the field of maritime and signed the protocol. In this context, Fatsa wishes to increase the awareness of our university and Fatsa Vocational School's high quality education methods in the global framework and to cooperate in scientific and technological developments developed in the field of maritime. I hope that the signed protocol will be beneficial for our university“.
