Rector Akdoğan was the Guest of the Ramadan Blessings Program

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan made a talk on "Morality in Islam" as a guest of the program "Ramadan Bereketi" broadcast on TV 52.

Answering the questions of the program host Muhammed Kılıç, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said, “Morality is a good temper, a good character, within the framework expressed by our beloved Prophet. Morality is such a habit and character that settles in the spiritual world of man that it spontaneously reflects on life. Morality, which we will define as doing good and avoiding evil, are human, universal goodnesses that are settled in the spiritual world of a person. As stated by Ghazali, morality is the feeling and the state of thought that potentially exists in the inner world of the human being. It occurs spontaneously when a person is doing a job while doing things and actions. Therefore, we need to raise our children and young people with the qualities we call goodness, beauty, good deeds and morals, ”

Rector Akdoğan said, “While a Muslim lives his life, the Quran must shape him, guide him and take his inspiration from there. Based on the examples of the Prophet, it should be our sine qua non to behave morally both in individual, family and social life as believers. The Quran invites us to good deeds, good deeds and righteous deeds. Faith, worship and righteous deeds are a very important point that the Quran emphasizes with utmost care and sensitivity. For example, it is a good deed for a person to lift a stone on the road, it is a moral act, but it is also immoral for a person to throw stones on the road. The source of morality is religion. Religious advice, religious advice, those examples in the Quran and in the life of the Prophet teach us what morality consists of. "
