"A Consultation Meeting on Quality, Education, Teaching and Scientific Research in the Light of HEC Criteria and Strategic Plan” was held in our university.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Tahsin Tonkaz and Prof. Dr. Niyazi Taşçı, Faculty Deans and Vocational School Directors, Deputy General Secretary Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sami Güler, academic and administrative staff joined the meeting held in Ceren Özdemir Conference Hall.

At the meeting, Assistant General Secretary Kürşat Taştan made a presentation on the topics of Quality in Higher Education, Accreditation Processes, HEC Criteria, Quality Studies of Ordu University and 2020-2024 Strategic Plan.

Addressing the issues of quality, education and scientific research before the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan stated, “The way to develop a society goes through education, you cannot make anything full and perfect without making people equipped. Therefore, it is necessary to train the human factor in the most ideal way to ensure that he lives in harmony with itself and other people. As higher education institutions, one of our most important responsibilities is to educate people in the most ideal sense.”

Rector Akdoğan stated that Ordu University is an educational institution that cares about institutional development, democratic, participatory and sensitive to the expectations and demands of stakeholders and added, “ We want every unit of our university to be advanced in the framework of our possibilities. This is only achieved by people working with education and devotion. Ordu University is a strong university with 20 thousand students and nearly 1500 staff. I strongly believe that we will take our University to higher levels with our academic and administrative staff.”
