Rector of the University Dr. Ali Akdoğan met with the students at the orientation program and ashura event organized for the first-year students who have recently registered.

Ashura Day event held in front of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, Vice Rector Dr. Tahsin Tonkaz, General Secretary Prof. Dr. M. Kenan Şahin, academic and administrative staff and students attended. Rector Akdoğan came together with the students within the scope of the event.

Orientation Program for Newly Enrolled Students

In the 2019-2020 academic year, an orientation program was organized in order to contribute to the adaptation process of university students and to create a sense of belonging and corporateness. Morphology building Conference Hall, the program held by the Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, academic and administrative staff and students participated.

Rector Akdoğan made a speech at the program and said, “Dear students, I would like to express my satisfaction that you have joined the Ordu University family. I'm here first and foremost as your mother and father, and I'm ready to take care of each one of you. If a student goes hungry here, becomes homeless, becomes a victim, the plague belongs to me. We are making great efforts to prepare you students for life better in every aspect. You should remember that your main duty is education. It is very important for your future to complete your education process in the best way regarding the departments and programs you will finish. With these thoughts, we welcome you to our students who have recently joined the Ordu University family. I hope that the new academic year will be beneficial for both our students and our university. ”
