Apple and grapefruits grown in our university's Faculty of Agriculture Research and Application Site were harvested.

Governor of Ordu Tuncay Sonel, Mayor of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander J. Alb. Gazi Demir,  Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Niyazi Taşçı and Prof. Dr. Tahsin Tonkaz, Faculty Deans, Deputy General Secretary Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sami Güler,  Provincial Mufti Dr. İsmail Çiçek, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Kemal Yılmaz, academicians and guests attended the harvest festival held in the Faculty of Agriculture Research and Application Land in the Organized Industrial Zone. Apple and grapefruits were harvested in the garden, where 30 types of fruits, including grapes, apples, kiwi, plum and strawberry, located in the 12 decare orchard.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan stated, “Universities are knowledge production centers that guide the city, region, country and society in which they are located through scientific research. In the Research and Application Site of the Faculty of Agriculture of our University, important studies are carried out in order to increase the abundance of the products of our region and to guide our producers in order to increase the yield of the region. In addition, qualified scientific research is carried out in the Hazelnut Application and Research Center, which we have established within our university in order to carry out detailed studies on hazelnut, one of the most important agricultural products of our region. Our university continues its efforts to increase the productivity of the agricultural areas in our region without slowing down. On this occasion, I congratulate our academics for their diligent work, and I hope the harvest will be beneficial.”
