Education Family Health Center and Psychological Counseling Application and Research Center was opened at our university.

Governor of Ordu Tuncay Sonel, Deputy Mayor of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Celal Tezcan, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, Mayor of Altınordu, Aşkın Tören, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Niyazi Taşçı and Prof. Dr. Tahsin Tonkaz, Faculty Deans, Secretary General Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Sami Güler, Provincial Health Director Dr. Mustafa Kasapoglu, Provincial Health Directorate, Head of Public Health Services Fatih Aydın and academic and administrative staff attended the ceremony held in Cumhuriyet Campus.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan stated in his opening speech, “One of the important decisions we made when we took office was investments in health. Within the scope of the studies we carried out, we increased the number of doctors in our Faculty of Medicine to 84. In addition, we allocated 250 decares of land to our Ministry of Health in the campus of our university for the construction of the city hospital. I would like to thank our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, our Ministry of Health, our dear governor and all those who contributed in bringing the hospital to our province. We are also opening an operating room and an intensive care unit in our Training and Research Hospital where severe cardiac surgeries can be performed. As Ordu University, we strive to do our best in cooperation and harmony with all institutions and organizations in our city. In this context, the Education Family Health Center, which we have put into service, will provide health services to our students, academic and administrative staff and citizens living in close proximity to our campus, as well as at the point of training specialist doctors. In our Psychological Counseling Application and Research Center, psychological support will be provided to our students in need, and our psychologists here will work in coordination with our psychiatrists when necessary. I wish the Education Family Health Center and the Psychological Counseling Application and Research Center that we opened will be beneficial to our university and our city.”

Governor of Ordu Tuncay Sonel expressed his thoughts and feelings, “You know, the construction of the City Hospital was on the agenda and this was a big deficiency in Ordu. With the instructions of our President, with the serious contribution of our Minister of Health, with the contribution of our deputies and the values of our Ordu, the construction of the contractor company has started and is progressing rapidly. There is harmony and cooperation between institutions. We have achieved this coordination with our Metropolitan Municipality, Regional Directorate of Highways, our University and all our units. Hopefully, after 2 years, both our City Hospital and our Ring Road will be finished. Our friends are currently working on the construction of roads to reach the hospital. Let's not compromise on our unity and solidarity. Our young people, our children have to grow very well, so that our future Turkey should emerge better jobs. Every corner of our country is beautiful. Yesterday was the 100th anniversary of our Ordu being a province, on this occasion, I congratulate once again the 100th anniversary of our Ordu, one of the most beautiful cities of the Black Sea and our country, in the presence of you. I remember with mercy and respect those who worked in our city who are not alive at the moment. May Allah not give the opportunity to those who want to break our unity and our solidarity.”

After the speeches, the opening ribbon was cut. Then Ordu Governor Tuncay Sonel, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan and protocol members made observations at the Education Family Health Center.
