Rector of our university Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç participated in the meeting of 2018 Corporate External Evaluation Program Evaluation organized by Higher Education Quality Board.

The opening speech was given by the President of Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas in the meeting, Deputy Chairman of Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım presented quantitative and qualitative data for the 2018 evaluation program. In 2018, Corporate Feedback reports were shared with the management and quality assurance system of the institutions included in the institutional external evaluation program, data on education and training, research and development, and social contribution processes. However, the evaluations of the evaluators who participated in the institutional external evaluation program and the managers of the program were included in the evaluations of the team leaders who participated in the field visit.

Afterwards, he was a member of the Presidency Education and Training Policies Board and Advisor Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Öktem Vardar gave a presentation on "Internal Quality Assurance System and Program Evaluation". Vardar said the internal quality assurance system that can be established in a higher education institution, the institution's quality assurance policy; education, research, community service, internationalization, governance standards, as well as evidence of academic life or improvement steps in accordance with these standards. Vardar also informed the participants about the institutional accreditation process.

Ordu University has established its corporate culture according to scientific quality paradigms and that it acts within the framework of an open governance system within the framework of quality standards. Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç: ‘’In 2018, our university was taken into the institutional external evaluation process by the Higher Education Quality Board and it was found successful in physical structuring, scientific development and institutional quality points. Within this framework, Ordu University continues to improve its corporate quality understanding with its internal and external stakeholders through principles such as continuous improvement, renewal and dynamicization in the criteria center determined by the Higher Education Quality Board. The 2018 Corporate External Evaluation Program Evaluation Meeting we participated in has also drawn a road map to the universities and contributed to the necessity of establishing the institutional development parameters within these boundaries. In the light of this contribution, Vardar I would like to express my gratitude to Chairman of the Board of Higher Education Quality Committee Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas, Vice President Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım and Advisor Prof. Dr. Öktem for our university.’’
