The 57th Library Week was celebrated with a simultaneous book reading activity organized by the Library and Documentation Department.
Our university academic and administrative staff and students attended the book reading activity, which was held with the participation from home and office due to the pandemic.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said in his statement, “We held our Library Week event, which we regularly celebrate every year, with the participation of our academic and administrative staff and students, simultaneously with remote access, as we did last year. Libraries, which are the main key of transferring knowledge from generation to generation, are a driving force for cultural development. I believe that we should protect our nation's deep history and knowledge, and at the same time protect our young people to be book-friendly, while embracing these cultural heritage and congratulate the 57th Library Week.”
