Rector Akdoğan Examined the Faculty of Tourism
Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan made observations at the Faculty of Tourism, where his studies continue in Güzelyalı Campus.
Maintenance and repair work continues in the Faculty of Tourism of our University, which will start educational activities in Güzelyalı Campus, which has a total area of ??5 thousand 800 square meters. The Faculty of Tourism, which will continue its educational activities in an area of ??1,300 square meters, is building a 14-room Application Hotel on a total area of ??1000 square meters, where 50 people can stay. In addition, an Application Restaurant is planned to be built on an area of ??150 square meters.
By examining the works carried out in the Faculty of Tourism on site, information from Şafak Şahin, Head of Construction Affairs and Technical Department, was given by Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said, "I hope we will open the Tourism Faculty and Application Hotel of our university in this building. Our faculty was opened on paper in previous years, and we will actually bring it to life. With the decision of the Ordu University Board of Directors, we will open our building, which previously served as the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Dentistry, as a Tourism Faculty and Application Hotel in the new period, preserving its original form. Currently, renovation work continues in our building. We are building an Application Hotel with 14 rooms, in which 40-50 people can be accommodated, by making the necessary arrangements, in the section that was built later at the back of our building. The Practice Hotel will be a field where our students will transform their theoretical knowledge into practice while continuing their educational activities in terms of tourism. I believe that our Tourism Faculty will contribute to our university and our city. As Ordu University, we continue to work uninterruptedly with the aim of contributing to our city, region and country".
