The 94th anniversary of the 29 October Republic Day celebration was celebrated with various programs organized in Ordu.

The program that started with the presentation of a wreath to Atatürk Monument continued with the congratulations of the Ordu Governor Seddar Yavuz. A ceremony was held in front of the Ordu High School on the occasion of the celebration program. The rector of Ordu University Professor. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç, vice rectors of our University Prof. Dr. Fikri Balta, Prof. Dr. Tevfik Noyan and our general secretary Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Kenan Şahin and many academic and administrative personnel, other protocol members, judicial and military personnel, representatives of political parties, institution directors and non-governmental organizations attended from our University.

The awards were given to the students who entered the competition of painting, poetry and composition on the subject of "Republic" organized on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Republic Day and young athletes who entered in boxing, athletics, judo, handball, table tennis, chess, archery, wrestling and badminton sports competitions.

The celebration program organized on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the 29 October Republican Day ended with the demonstration and ceremony of the Metropolitan Municipality Folk Dance Team. Following the Celebration Program, the reception of the Republic Day was realized by the Governorship of Ordu.

The republic, which was declared after the War of Independence, which is a struggle for the nation's existence and which has epic features in every phase, has become the symbol of independence of our saint milliyet. The Republic, which is the essence of our struggle for independence, which is getting stronger every day with its unshakable belief and supreme determination, is the most concrete example of the total struggle won against the occupation forces and the fire of independence.
