President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal Meets Academicians and Students in Our University

The President of TÜBİTAK Prof.Dr. Dr. Hasan Mandal gave a conference titled “Situation Assessment in the Ecosystem of Science, Technology and Innovation and New Processes Focused on TUBITAK ”.
President of TÜBİTAK Prof.Dr. Dr. Hasan Mandal was briefed about our university in the Pre-conference meeting. During the information presentation  which the Director of Central Research Laboratory Prof. Dr. Hasan Sevgili had Ordu University's regional and country-wide expansions, project areas and research areas that could lead to create corporate cooperation opportunities were discussed. During the meeting, it was informed that Ordu University is continuously developing with the scientific research projects it has produced among the universities established after 2006 and evaluations were made on the more effective use of the existing instructor and researcher potential and motivation. Also, it was emphasized that our university will make more use of TÜBİTAK project opportunities and will introduce innovations in order to increase the motivation to present projects.
Following the information presentation, “The Situation Assessment in Science, Technology and Innovation Ecosystem and New Processes Focused on TUBITAK ”conference was held by The President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal. Ordu Mayor Hilmi Güler, Rector of Ordu University Prof. Dr. Tarık Yarılgaç, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Tevfik Noyan and Prof. Dr. Fikri Balta, Faculty Deans, academic and administrative staff and undergraduate and graduate students attended the program which was held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts.
President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal gave information about support programs since its establishment in the program realized for academicians and students of our university. Mandal emphasized that its basic strategies are technology and innovation and qualified human resources and drew attention to the increase in researcher human resources. “Universities are at the forefront of the resource consumption of research capacity,” he said.
During the conference which the audience was informed about TÜBİTAK's support programs for academia and industry, Mandal emphasized that the success rate of student projects is very high and added that associate students will be included in the 2209 support program that encourages undergraduate students studying at universities to conduct research through projects. “As TÜBİTAK, we have support programs for graduate students in the post-doctoral and post-doctoral employment process.
In addition, we also provide support to leading international researchers, as well as a separate support program for university graduates to establish their own companies,” he said.
He underlined that there are aspects open to development in terms of developed projects and scientific publication performance, expressing that Ordu University's report card is above the world average in terms of impact value. Following the conference ended with the answers of the questions of academicians and students, Central University Research Laboratory and Emin Çetinceviz Central Library were visited.
