Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was celebrated at ODU

Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan participated in ''the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan ”organized by the Department of Turkish Language and Literature and the Turcology Club.

The program was held in the conference hall of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences with Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, as well as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Prof. Dr. Öznur Ergen Akçin, academic and administrative staff and students attended.

Speaking at the event held on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Assist. Pof. Dr. Abdulkadir Özturk, member of the Kazakh Turks were exposed to occupation and great suffering and deeply affected the Turkish world by expressing that these events celebrated the independence day of the Kazakh Turks.

Rector Akdoğan said, “The Turkish Republics need to cooperate in order to gain wealth in social, cultural and economic fields. As universities, our duty is to bridge the gap between our country and the Turkish Republics by providing the necessary cooperation. In this way, our relations between countries can develop and grow. I congratulate the students and academicians who contributed to the event with these thoughts.
