Production started at our university with the target of 850 thousand masks
To support the Covid-19 outbreak, mask and protective headgear production started by faculty members and municipal staff at Fatsa Vocational School Clothing Production Workshop. Within the scope of the cooperation between Fatsa Vocational School, Fatsa Municipality and Fatsa District National Education Directorate, the production of 850 thousand protective masks was targeted. Along with the production of masks, protective caps were produced, and 100 of the caps produced in the workshop were prepared to be sent to the Faculty of Dentistry and 100 to the Training and Research Hospital.
Mayor of Fatsa İbrahim Etem Kibar said, “ Thanks to all our employees who spend a lot of time working with the production of masks they made here, and because they give us all kinds of support by opening the doors of the Vocational School workshop. I present my thanks to Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan”.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said in his statement: “As a country, we are locked in the fight against the corona virus epidemic, as the whole country, in order to maintain the process, especially our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and our Ministry of Health. We are a nation that has written our name to the world with the successes we have achieved in the spirit of unity and solidarity. Our collaboration with Fatsa Municipality and our District Directorate of National Education is a clear indication of what we can do when we come together in our workshop within the body of our university Fatsa Vocational School. Therefore, in this process, each of the masks and protective caps produced for the protection of health personnel and our citizens have separate labor and importance. I sincerely thank our faculty members and municipal staff who continue their production and work devotedly in order not to experience mask supply problems within the scope of combating the epidemic. ” He spoke in the form. After the visit, examinations were made in Fatsa Campus and the Maritime Education and Application Center.
