The Rector, Prof Dr Tarık Yarılgaç has examined the studies carried out by Ordu University at the Faculty of CULS Tropical Sciences in Prague.
Prof Dr Tarık Yarılgaç paid a visit to observe the studies performed by the Research Assistant Anıl Fırat Felek who has been taking part in the lab researches in the scope pf Erasmus+ Staff Exchange Programme between Ordu University and Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS) after he finished his meeting with the Vice-Rector, Prof Dr Michal Lostak in Prague.
In the previous days The Rector Prof Dr Tarık Yarılgaç visited Film and TV School and Czech University of Life Sciences in the framework of Erasmus+ Programme to talk about the future cooperations to be held in the scope of the Exchange of academic staff and postgraduate students. The Rector Yarılgaç met the Vice-Rector of Czech University of Life Sciences, Prof Dr Michal Lostak and exchanged the ideas and cooperations to be carried out between two universities. After the meeting the Rector Yarılgaç examined the studies aiming at preservation of tropical and sub-tropical plants as gene source.
The Rector Yarılgaç stated ‘’ Although the Faculty of Tropical Agricultural Sciences is a new-established faculty, their studies are remarkable in respect of conducting studies.’’ Prof Dr tarık Yarılgaç added ‘’ during the visit we exchanged the ideas and shared the experiences with the Authourities of Czech University of Life Sciences about a variety of topics such as participation of international projects, partner-based researches and development studies and students’ exchange programme and had opportunity to visit the lab researches on tropical and sub-tropical plants and we focused on carrying out the same types of studies at Ordu University as our country has a rich flora.’’
The Rector Prof Dr Tarık Yarılgaç ended his speech delivering his best wishes to Research Assistant Anıl Fırat Felek for his studies on tissue culture carrying out in the scope of Erasmus+ Staff Exchange Programme.
