Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Baş's Republic Day Celebration Message
Today, we are proud and happy to celebrate the 100th anniversary of a miracle. The Republic is a great turning point shaped by the perseverance and determination of the Turkish nation, and the strongest symbol of a nation's love of freedom and independence. The Republic, achieved through the epic struggle led by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is a historical proof of our nation's belief in free will and that the lands of the homeland cannot be divided, and is the greatest legacy left to our nation.
As children of this country, each of us has the responsibility not only to remember the past, but also to build a better future on it. At this point, one of our most important duties as educational institutions is to continue to contribute to the development of the country under the guidance of science and to always carry this proud heritage forward on our shoulders.
On the anniversary of a century-old miracle, I commemorate the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his heroic comrades, our veterans and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our country, with endless gratitude, gratitude and mercy.
Happy 100th anniversary of our Republic.
