Rector Akdoğan’s Visit to Ordu City Council

Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan visited the Army City Council President Ömer Aydın.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Niyazi Taşçı and Ordu City Council Executive Board Members were in the meeting. President of Ordu City Council Ömer aydın said, “I congratulate Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan because of making a historical decision in spite of taking a lot of criticism. I believe that a new city will be mounted on this decision. On this occasion, I think the city and the university will unite. In addition, as Ordu City Council, we think that it will be healthier to open an archeology department at our University and protect the historical monuments in our city under the protection of the university. I also believe that we will bring the university and the city closer by carrying out joint studies on the history of Ordu.”.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said, “It is our desire for our city to be a more modern, more livable city both in terms of physical facilities and social and cultural aspects. Not only can we wish for them, but we also have to try to do something for our city. Together, we will carry our city to a bright future, prosperous and peaceful tomorrows in the best way.”. Rector Akdoğan stated that one of the most important needs of Ordu is the hospital, “As Ordu University, we allocated 208 decares of land to our Ministry of Health to build the hospital. The doctors of the Ministry of Health and the Faculty of Medicine will serve together with this. In addition to this, there will be an area in the hospital where the Faculty of Medicine will have a morphology building, that is, laboratories and classrooms necessary for our students' education” he spoke.
