The book "Ordu with its Historical and Cultural Dimensions" was published under the editorship of the faculty members of the History Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

Prof. Dr. Sadullah Gulten and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuğrul Özcan who are the editors of the book and also faculty members of Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of History visited Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan in his office, stated that the book "Ordu with its Historical and Cultural Dimensions" was gifted to Ordu by Ordu University and thanked Rector Akdoğan for his support.

Rector Akdoğan, stating that it is extremely important for societies to know their historical, cultural and social structure, said, “Nations with historical awareness can plan their days better by taking lessons from the past and have the opportunity to look to the future with a brighter, more horizon and more vision. In this sense, the information presented to us by the academics of the History Department is also extremely important. The book "Ordu with Its Historical and Cultural Dimensions", which was created as a result of the efforts of our History Department academics and other friends, was published as an informative work written about the historical and cultural texture of our Ordu. In the formation of this study, which we supported as Ordu University, I would like to thank the Mayor of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. Hilmi Güler, the faculty members of the History Department, Prof. Dr. Sadullah Gulten and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuğrul Özcan, and all friends who contributed to their efforts.”
