ISPEC 12th International Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development Congress started with the hosting of our University.

The program held at the Faculty of Agriculture Şahin Dere Conference Hall was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdogan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Tonkaz, Faculty Deans, academic and administrative staff, many national and international researchers and guests.

Making the opening speech of the congress, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Prof. Dr. Özlem Önal Aşcı said, “The agricultural sector has a great economic and social importance due to many reasons such as meeting the food needs in the world, contributing to the national income and employment of the countries, transferring capital to the industry, and contributing directly and indirectly to exports. More than 40 universities, institutes and the private sector participated in our congress, which had participants from 21 different countries, and a total of 300 papers were included. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organization of the congress, with the hope that our congress, which will be held online and face-to-face, will share scientific studies in the field of agriculture, allow scientists to exchange ideas, and be beneficial for our country and world agriculture.” 

Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Mehmet Fikret Balta said, “We are extremely happy to host the 12th International Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development Congress. Today, current information in many different branches of agriculture will be discussed and new information will be added to the literature. I wish this congress to be productive and successful, and I would like to thank our Rector, ISPEC coordinator, congress president and all those who contributed to their contributions.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said, “The importance of technological developments, mechanization and industrialization cannot be denied. Even voicing the value of science, technology and science is extremely meaningful. Therefore, the knowledge of the valuable, experienced and well-equipped academics of our Faculty of Agriculture, each of which is competent in their fields, is very important for us. I think that the more we appreciate our scientists, the more we value them, the more we benefit from their knowledge, the more positive reflections it will have on this society. Therefore, our academicians have great duties in transferring this knowledge and experience to the society, raising awareness of the society and raising awareness. In this context, I think that the International Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development Congress hosted by our University is very meaningful and important. I would like to thank our congress coordinator, congress president and all those who contributed to the thought that this important organization, in which 300 papers from 21 countries participated, will make important contributions to scientific studies in the field of agriculture, livestock and rural development.” 

300 paper presentations in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry and rural development will be made face-to-face and online at the congress, which will continue from 6 to 8 July, with participation from 21 countries.
