Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan's Message for 8 March International Women's Day

Our women, who shape our society with their selfless work in every period of history, shape our future with their unlimited love, tolerance, self-sacrifice and productivity in every aspect of life. In addition, our women, who have achieved great success with their work in many fields such as education, science, economy, politics, business world, in which they are actively involved, make great contributions to the sustainable growth and development of our country.

As representatives of a belief that puts heaven under the feet of mothers, it rejects all kinds of sexist perspectives; I believe that we should stand by our women in order to improve their social status, protect their individual rights and freedoms, and increase their effectiveness in the public sphere.

I congratulate the 8 March International Women's Day of all our women, who are the symbol of love, compassion and sacrifice, with the thought that we need to take steps to strengthen the existence of women in every field in order to ensure gender equality and to reach the days when violence against women ends.
