ODU Continues to Add New Achievements to Its Academic Success


According to the URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) 2022-2023 Turkey Ranking, our university succeeded to move from its 83rd place last year to 72nd place by 11 steps this year among 183 universities.

URAP 2022-2023 Turkey Ranking has been published as a result of the analyzes carried out by the URAP Research Laboratory established within the Middle East Technical University Informatics Institute. According to the URAP 2022-2023 results prepared by using Clarivate Analytics/In Cites and the data published by the Council of Higher Education, our University ranked 72nd from its 83rd place among 183 universities in Turkey; Among 121 state universities, it was ranked 69th last year, to 59; Among the 112 universities established after 2000, it moved from the 26th rank last year to the 21st.

While evaluating universities, the criteria of the number of articles, the number of articles per faculty member, the number of citations, the total number of scientific documents, the total number of documents per faculty member, the number of doctoral students, the ratio of doctoral students, and the number of students per faculty member were used.

The URAP rankings, which are an important reference source for academic studies and show the level of science that universities can produce, provide universities with an important evaluation opportunity in setting goals, and help universities to compare their academic performance with other universities and to recognize the openness of universities according to the determined criteria.
