Faculty of Dentistry Hospital Continues to Be the Locomotive of the Region in the Field of Health

The Faculty of Dentistry continues to be the locomotive of the region with its infrastructure equipped with the latest technological systems and experienced staff, providing quality service to hundreds of patients per day at full capacity.

The Faculty of Dentistry, which has a closed area of approximately 13 thousand square meters and provides a broader service to human health with 149 active units, continues its education activities in its new building with 28 faculty members, 100 specialist research assistants and 500 students. There are 10 x-ray rooms, 8 outpatient clinics, 2 local and 1 general operating theaters, a seminar hall for 80 people, 5 lecture halls for 80 students, a library and a computer laboratory in the Faculty, where theory and practice are combined with its preclinical, phantom and R&D laboratories.

Over 2 Million Dental Treatment Procedures

In the Faculty of Dentistry of our University, which continues to rank high in its region with the dental health service it offers, the number of patients applying in 2022 is 151,545, the number of dental treatments is 295 thousand 846, the number of surgical procedures is 4 thousand 207, while in 2023 the number of patients who applied so far is 57 thousand 841. The number of dental treatments was 122 thousand 249 and the number of surgical procedures was 541 thousand. However, since its establishment in 2012, 808 thousand 457 patients applied to the Faculty of Dentistry and 2 million 233 thousand 193 dental treatment procedures were performed and 34 thousand 312 patients underwent surgical procedures.

Begins May 1st

In the Daily Clinic and the Disabled Unit clinic, where dental surgeries requiring general anesthesia and the treatment of patients with fear of dental treatment are carried out, primarily dental treatments of disabled individuals, the intake of general anesthesia patients, which has been planned as one day a week until now, has been increased to 2 days a week as of May 1, 2023 and it is aimed to provide a great decrease in the number of the patient waiting.

Our University Faculty of Dentistry Hospital, which continues its activities with a public-oriented service approach, continues its intensive efforts to provide the best service to our people in terms of providing adequate health services in line with the increasing need.Our University, which adopts the principle of providing a solution-oriented health service with both the polyclinic services it provides and the surgical procedures it performs by following the latest technological developments, will continue to meet a significant part of the oral and dental health needs both in our province and in our region, within the framework of public health, with its experienced staff.
