Before the opening program, a music concert was held by the faculty members and students of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. Making the opening speech of the program, Symposium Organizing Committee Chairman Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fevziye Eker said, “I hope that your experiences here will add a lot to you both in your academic and social life. I believe that this and similar meetings are beneficial in terms of sharing and discussing many academic articles in the field of social sciences, opening new horizons in this context, and this symposium also encourages our graduate students to be more involved in academic life. I hope that this symposium we organized will contribute to the development of new friendships, discussions with different faculty members, and the development of future-oriented scientific projects, as well as the exchange of information with our young participants. I would like to thank the Honorary President of the Symposium, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan and everyone who contributed.”

Director of the Institute of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kenan Şahin said, “As the Social Sciences Institute of our university, we have potential in terms of education, faculty members and opportunities. Taking all these into account, one of the goals we set was to improve the postgraduate degree in terms of quality. To this end, we took a step and made a publication requirement for our students at the doctoral level. In the coming period, we plan to bring this to graduate school. We think that what we do should not be confined to four walls. We had a second goal that carried our university even further in terms of quality, and we realized it and transferred our magazine to TR Index. In our symposium, there are more than 24 current and very important papers that touch human life. We hope that these papers will be published after the refereeing process. I would like to thank our esteemed Rector for his support to scientific events and for always encouraging us, those who contributed and all our participants.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said, “In order for society to develop, people need to be trained and developed. In the material and spiritual sense, the actor being of the functioning of life is human. In order to do this, we must bring people together with life from the moment they are born and prepare them for life with the awareness that they are an actor of this life. I believe that with effort, diligence and more work, we can rise to much better points. The way to this is through scientific activities, scientific activities and raising people. Therefore, we need to keep our institutes even more alive and dynamic. I think that it is a great achievement for our graduate students, both for themselves and for this society, with their sensitive, trained and qualified manpower in participating in national and international symposiums, addressing social problems and producing solutions to these problems. With these thoughts, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organization of the symposium.”

The symposium was held in 6 sessions with 24 paper presentations made by the participants in the relevant fields of social sciences.
