A Sufi Music Concert was Held at our University on the 749th Anniversary of Şeb-i Arus

A "Sufi Music Concert" was held by the Faculty of Theology of our university on the 749th anniversary of Şeb-i Arus.

The Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Ali Akdogan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Niyazi Taşcı, Faculty Deans, Altınordu District Mufti Abdullah Söylemez, academics, students and guests attended the programme. 

Speaking at the concert, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdogan, stated, “As a theologian, I think that the field of music is very important, that music is an inseparable part of life, and that people need both music and music. I believe that we Muslims should put forward a life in accordance with our own culture, belief, national and spiritual values in every field of life, on the way to civilization, and put forward the most ideal of this. On this path, our friends presented a very nice concert to us today. I congratulate our faculty and students who took part in the Turkish Sufi Music concert, and thank each of you individually for your attendance.”

In the Sufi Music concert, conducted by Ahmet Tongüç, a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Theology, many works were performed by instrumentalists and hanendes. Among the performed works, “Nat-ı Mevlana, Sevelim Hazreti Mevlanayı, Şem-i Ruhuna Cismi Pervane, Dinle Sözümü Sana Direm, Şu Benim Divane Gönlüm, Hak Bir Gönül Verdi, Yar Yüreğim Yar, Sadri Cemil Mürselin, Affet İsyanım Benim, Ey Gönül Bakma Cihane, Nihavent Salavat, Bu Gece Yari Gördüm, Nice Feryat Edip Zarı Kılam Ben, Nat-ı Nebevi” took place.

After the presentation of the certificates of appreciation, the program ended with a photo taken.
