ODU is 17 Years Old

Ordu University, which started its educational journey on March 17, 2006, has nearly 1,500 academic and administrative staff in 3 institutes, 13 faculties, 1 college and 10 vocational schools; continues its qualified growth with nearly 20 thousand students in graduate, undergraduate and associate degrees.

Among the Most Preferred Universities with an occupancy rate of 99.5 percent

Ordu University, which continues to increase the number of students each year as well as its academic and physical development, has reached a 99.5 percent occupancy rate according to the 2022 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) placement results.

For the 2022-2023 academic year, 4,007 students settled in our University, which has a total of 4,027 quotas, excluding the special talent exam. In this context, while 1922 students were placed in the quotas opened for 37 departments in the faculties of our University; 2,085 students were placed in the quotas opened for 42 associate degree programs in Vocational Schools, and an occupancy rate of 99.5 percent was achieved.

Ranked 1st in the Black Sea Region in Student Satisfaction

Ordu University, which is rapidly advancing towards becoming the university of the future, carries its student satisfaction and scientific success graph to higher levels with each passing year, according to the research results of national and international evaluation institutions.

According to the results of the Turkey University Satisfaction Survey (TÜMA) 2022 Report, in which the satisfaction levels of undergraduate students are measured, our University ranked 18th among 126 state universities and ranked 1st among universities in the Black Sea region.

Rising Achievement Graph in Academic Development Every Term

According to the URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) 2022-2023 Turkey Ranking, Ordu University, which was in the 83rd place in the previous year among 183 universities, has managed to move up 11 steps to the 72nd place.

URAP 2022-2023 Turkey Ranking has been published as a result of the analyzes carried out by the URAP Research Laboratory established within the Middle East Technical University Informatics Institute. According to the URAP 2022-2023 results prepared by using Clarivate Analytics/In Cites and the data published by the Council of Higher Education, our University ranked 72nd from its 83rd place among 183 universities in Turkey; Among 121 state universities, it was ranked 69th last year, to 59; Among the 112 universities established after 2000, it moved from the 26th rank last year to the 21st.

Increasing Service Quality in the Field of Health

Ordu University hospitals, which are an important address in the field of health of Ordu and the Black Sea Region, continue to respond to the needs of patients with the health services they offer.

In order to solve the health problems of the people of Ordu, the construction of the city hospital, which was started by the Ministry of Health, with the allocation of 250 acres of land belonging to our University, in order to build the hospital needed by the city, continues rapidly. In addition, with the 42-decare additional space allocation realized, the construction of the morphology building, which will include classrooms, laboratories and study rooms for the faculty of medicine and students, has been completed, with an indoor area of ??22 thousand 300 square meters, next to the city hospital.

In the Daily Clinic and the Disabled Unit, which was opened in the Faculty of Dentistry, which met an important health need of the region with the numerous treatments and surgical procedures it performed, the dental treatment of the disabled individuals from Ordu and neighboring provinces, primarily the dental treatments of the people with disabilities, and jaw surgeries that would require general anesthesia and fear of dental treatment. patients are treated. In the Dental Tomography Unit, the imaging procedures of the patients' head and neck region are diagnosed in detail and treatment plans are made in line with this diagnosis.

The 3rd Stage Cardiovascular Surgery (KVC) Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit were established in MoH-Ordu University Training and Research Hospital and opened in 2022. In the Cardiovascular Surgery unit, where all kinds of vascular surgeries can be performed, there are 5 intensive care beds, 13-bed service and 1 operating room, and it has the capacity to perform two open heart surgeries every day.

Stating that Ordu University has a brand value in its region with its intellectual accumulation, knowledge infrastructure and scientific activities since the day it was founded, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan stated that, in addition to the quality education, theoretical and applied research activities it offers at the international level, it continues its efforts to become a research university candidate with the added value it provides to the city.
