The 6th International Mathematics and Engineering Sciences Symposium, which will be held at our university between 20-22 May, has started.

The symposium held in Ceren Özdemir Conference Hall was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan, Rector of Uşak University Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Tonkaz, Faculty Deans, academicians, students and guests attended.

Delivering the opening speech of the symposium program organized by the Faculty of Education of our university, Prof. Dr. Liliana Gunar and Prof. Dr. Dumitru Baleanu thanked Ordu University for organizing and hosting the symposium and the entire symposium team.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan said, “Scientific research and pursuits are not just a dimension related to that person, they are efforts that concern all humanity and have universal contributions. Scientists have made very important discoveries for the development of humanity. As our universities and Turkey, we need to put forth our best efforts both in health, science and technology, and social sciences. When we make our children understand mathematics, language, religion and moral values ??very well, it means that important successes are waiting for us. If a person does not know mathematics, does not know his own language, if he does not know its values, that person cannot use his own mind very well. At the point where we are free individuals, science paves our way, science strengthens us, knowledge liberates us. Power comes from knowledge, trained people, science, technique and science. Power comes from work. With these thoughts in mind, I would like to thank especially the very valuable professors of our university and everyone who contributed to the preparation of this program.” 

After the opening speeches, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan and Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş presented certificates of appreciation. In the continuation of the program, the paper presentations of the symposium, where the latest developments in both theoretical and applied mathematics and engineering sciences were discussed, with the participation of many researchers working in the national and international arena.
