Rector Akdoğan's Message "The Acceptance of the National Anthem and the Day of Remembrance of Mehmet Akif Ersoy"

The National Anthem, which was written during the most difficult times of the National Struggle, is a symbol of the resurrection of the Turkish nation, our nation's declaration of independence. Written by our patriotic poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy in the darkest days of the era, the National Anthem is an immortal work that most meaningfully describes the experiences, heroism, moral values ??and love of the homeland of the Turkish nation throughout history.

While the passion for independence emanating from the Turkish National Anthem, which is the symbol of the Turkish nation's struggle to exist again by standing upright against injustice without compromising its passion for a free and independent life, continues to illuminate our path, we are proud to have a poet who can integrate spirituality and literature and express them so beautifully. we are living

The biggest task that falls to us today is to protect our homeland, which is the trust of our ancestors, by absorbing the importance and value of the great struggle in the past, as described in our National Anthem. With these feelings and thoughts, we commemorate with respect and gratitude all the heroes of the War of Independence, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and our National Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy.
