Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Akdoğan's Message on "December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities"

It is among the basic responsibilities of all of us to raise the quality of life of our disabled people, to remove the obstacles in front of them, and to ensure that they have equal rights and freedoms with all members of the society. At the same time, the joy of life, the perseverance and success of our disabled brothers and sisters in social and cultural fields should set an example for us and it should not be forgotten that no obstacle will prevent them from being productive and hardworking.

As Ordu University, we continue our efforts devotedly in order to create suitable education, research and accommodation environments for our disabled students by organizing educational programs in a way that will facilitate their academic and social lives. In the next period, we are always ready to remove the obstacles as much as we can in order to increase the quality of life of our students with disabilities studying at our University and to prevent them from experiencing any kind of victimization.

With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate all our special individuals on the “December 3rd International Day of Persons with Disabilities” with the hope of a world where we have no barriers to love, conscience and compassion, and wish them and their families a healthy and happy life.
