Ordu University, which started its educational activities on March 17, 2006, has more than 1,500 academic and administrative staff in 3 institutes, 13 faculties, 1 college and 10 vocational schools; Today, it celebrates its 16th anniversary with nearly 20 thousand students in graduate, undergraduate and associate degrees.

Number of Laboratories Reaching 152 and Increase in Scientific Projects

Our University, which continues its research activities uninterruptedly by establishing new laboratories in the necessary areas and increasing the equipment of the existing laboratories in line with the needs of the academic units, increases the number of laboratories from 13 to 152 in the year it was founded, and continues its scientific studies in order to continue its education activities in places with all kinds of opportunities required by modern education.

In addition, more than 2,000 research, thesis, infrastructure and scientific activity projects have been carried out since its establishment in 2012, in the Scientific Research Projects unit, which aims to contribute to the increase of the academic success of the university by providing financial support to academicians, especially for scientific research and thesis projects.

Increasing Service Quality in the Field of Health

Being an important address in the field of health in Ordu and the Black Sea Region, Ordu University hospitals continue to meet the needs of patients with the health services they offer. In this context, 208 acres of land belonging to our University was allocated in order to build the hospital needed by the city in order to solve the health problems of the people of Ordu. On the hospital land, the construction of which was started by the Ministry of Health, the hospital construction with a total closed area of ??300 thousand square meters, with a service building of 278 thousand 370 square meters, with a total of 900 beds, 592 of which are single, and an additional service building of 16 thousand square meters, continues rapidly. In addition, with the 42-decare additional space allocation realized, 70 percent of the morphology building, which will have classrooms, laboratories and study rooms for the Faculty of Medicine faculty and students next to the city hospital, with an indoor area of ??22 thousand 300 square meters, has been completed and the construction works are continuing.

In the Daily Clinic and the Disabled Unit, which was opened in the Faculty of Dentistry, which met an important health need of the region with the many treatments and surgical procedures it performed, the dental treatment of the disabled individuals coming from Ordu and neighboring provinces, primarily the dental treatments of the disabled individuals, and jaw surgeries that would require general anesthesia and fear of dental treatment. patients are treated. In the Dental Tomography Unit, the imaging procedures of the patients' head and neck region are diagnosed in detail and treatment plans are made in line with this diagnosis.

The 3rd Stage Cardiovascular Surgery (KVC) Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit were established and opened in MoH-Ordu University Training and Research Hospital. In the Cardiovascular Surgery unit, where all kinds of vascular surgeries can be performed, there are 5 intensive care beds, 13 inpatient services and 1 operating room, and it has the capacity to perform two open heart surgeries every day.

In addition, in the Family Health Center, which continues its activities in the Cumhuriyet Campus, diagnosis of all kinds of diseases, drugs, dressings, vaccines, analysis and cardiological evaluations can be made in a way that will serve our University staff, students and citizens residing in Cumhuriyet District.
