General Introduction
Ordu University which was founded in 2006 is a state university and it was founded as a result of combining different academic units of Ondokuz Mayıs University and Karadeniz Technical University which have a deeply rooted academic history.
The prime purpose of our university is to increase the quality of current associate and undergraduate programs and make other programs ready for education by providing academic, technical and physical infrastructure. This purpose is also valid for graduate programs.
Education programs in our university have been planned to raise qualified individuals in terms of their professions, to cooperate with the sector in order to fulfill scientific necessities and meet the requirements of the sector. Moreover, we have signed protocols with a lot of universities in order to allow mobility of students and academicians thanks to the international culture programs.
Physical and technological facilities are increasing in our university day by day. In respect to this, wireless internet, online library and database, distance learning, IP-radio and television broadcasting services are provided to our staff and students.
Social activities are considerably carried out by student clubs. There are 22 student clubs which are active in various fields.
Ordu University which has a unique and natural campus in Ordu with magnificent sea view and fresh air is in harmony with this lovely city.
